Beyoncé has been catching a lot of flak for her new persona. She’s too sexy! She’s too old to be talking about being “Drunk in Love”. I’m sure the same has been said about this blogsite. “Some of the topics are too racy” or “Look at the pictures” Why are women such haters especially of other women?
Back to Bey… I get that she’s a public figure and that little girls look up to her but what’s the problem? Did she really do something wrong by not being known for sleeping around, becoming successful, getting MARRIED and THEN having a baby with her HUSBAND?!?! Are we so jaded as a society that we prefer to see unhappiness? Are we more comfortable and/or interested by the broken relationships and homes that plague our communities?
We didn’t have a problem when she was “Crazy in Love” because anyone can have a boyfriend. However, the moment she got wifed up, lonely chicks got pissed. Now, every move she makes is highly criticized. Yes, some of the songs on the album are SUPER SEXUAL but why is sex so taboo? First of all Beyoncé is married. Secondly she has a child so obviously she’s fucking! Somebody just gasped because I typed and you read that word. FUCKING FUCKING FUCKING!! Get over it already! Does it make you feel cleaner if it’s dressed up? Do you prefer the term doin’ it, doin’ the nasty, sexual intercourse or having relations? Does the terminology change what it actually is? Give me a damn break! Some of the same complainers lost their virginity at fourteen; slept around and have children by different men. Now all of a sudden, Beyoncé’s lyrics are too risqué, that should be kept private and people shouldn’t talk about sex. However, when I see a family and every child has a different last name obviously someone is doin’ it……ALOT! Please STOP FRONTIN’
“What about the kids that look up to her?” I know kids have a lot more access than we did growing up. Even if you don’t play certain music around them, they still find a way to listen to it. However, I’m a firm believer that parents should teach their children the difference between right and wrong. Stop allowing television and video games to shape your children’s morals and value. Take responsibility for your lack of parenting instead of ridiculing celebrities for not being good role models. Parents, YOU be the role model. Then entertainers can play their positions and do what they do……ENTERTAIN!!
Lastly, women (and men), SHUT THE HELL UP! If you don’t like the album, don’t buy it. Likewise, if you don’t like this blog, stay the hell off the site. Women stop being so stiff and stuffy. Keep it NAKED and you just may learn something. Let me say that I am not writing this as a Beyoncé fan. I’m writing this as a fan of a strong woman doing her thang. Whether or not I like the album is irrelevant. I just truly appreciate a woman who has enough courage to say this is me and this is where I am right now. There is nothing worse than a woman who can’t keep it NAKED but pretends she does. It was a gamble but Bey took the risk. I can respect that and for those who can’t, bow down bitches!
